Sneak Peek: Members Cooperative Credit Union at 2024 Grandma’s Marathon!
Since the start of Grandma’s Marathon in 1977 in Duluth, MN, the annual race has brought business to our local communities and has continued to give back to its charity partners. Members Cooperative Credit Union is honored to join the cause. Members has been a proud supporter of Grandma’s Marathon for many years now, and we’re elated to share that we’re again supporting this year’s race as a Presenting Sponsor.
Our History at Grandma’s Marathon
For almost 90 years, Members has been deeply invested in the success and wellbeing of our communities. As a part of our vast and ongoing support of our local communities, 2024 marks Members Cooperative Credit Union’s seventh year sponsoring and cheering on runners at Grandma’s Marathon, a race widely regarded as a world-class event with small-town charm. Time sure does fly when you’re having fun!
At Members, we celebrate our members’ personal wins, financial successes, and new adventures, every day. For that reason, we’ve enjoyed celebrating Grandma’s Marathon race winners, finishers, and attendees each year. Appreciatively, over the years, hundreds of Members staff have volunteered at the event, many having raced in the marathon itself!

“For the Members team, it’s truly memorable to see our community come together to support one another and celebrate our accomplishments year after year,” said Melissa Swenson, Senior Business Development and Outreach Specialist. “We have so much fun every race weekend and love to see both familiar and new faces. In my six years volunteering at Grandma’s Marathon, cheering our members on from the sidelines never loses its luster.”
